What is it about your work in real estate that inspires you?
The main attraction for me are the industry’s momentum and the diversity of the specialist areas that make up the exciting interdisciplinary work of an asset manager.
Which topics / projects are you particularly interested in at the moment?
Currently, my focus is on new replacement buildings and construction projects within the current real estate portfolios. While very interesting, such projects are also challenging as they require detailed planning and careful consideration of various factors – from economic and ecological aspects to tenant structures. We also have to plan for a smooth transition and letting strategy during the construction phase to minimise any loss of earnings.
If you could choose any property to invest in, what would it be?
Apart from a villa with direct access to Lake Zurich for private residential purposes, I would choose investment properties with significant potential for further appreciation in medium-sized towns and, of course, in the suburbs of the major urban centres.
How does asset management ensure that the properties of the Avadis Investment Foundation deliver stable long-term returns?
One key factor is the regular review and optimisation of the strategy at the property level. This process factors in market trends, economic conditions and regulatory changes, and incorporates the findings into the property strategy. Aside from that, the strategy must be consistently implemented at the property management level to ensure the generation of stable long-term income.

The Avadis Investment Foundation manages assets worth CHF 4.7 billion in the Swiss real estate sector, split across three investment groups. The groups stand out for their stable performance, low costs and high-quality locations and properties. Non-cash contributions can be made to any of the vehicles.
